It absolutely was a hot summer! I feel like what was the common theme for everyone! I am also SO ready for fall, I was waiting until after Labor Day (literally today) to have my first pumpkin coffee, so Fall can come anytime now
Back to School - Share Something You Learned This Summer
Wow Ruth, that trip sounds amazing! It’s on my bucket list to visit the national parks out West - I’ll definitely be coming to you for recommendations. It sounds like your daughter had a great time!!
I completed my Tax Preparation course with a 3.79 Now I can apply for my Business License.
I learned how to plan a wedding and honeymoon!
Fall is my favorite time of year and I can’t wait for sweaters and soups and fall leaves! I did enjoy my summer though. I learned how to make Mahi Mahi fish tacos. I even learned how to make the perfect crema to drizzle on the tacos. I have never been much of a cook. I am far better at assembly in the kitchen, so nailing something I had never done before was awesome!
Professionally, I learned that it’s always good to check out new programs and offerings from your vendors. They continue to grow and if you explore what they’re offering, you might find they can help your company grow too. Recently added the Reputation social suite and GMB enhancements and I am so glad I did!
Enjoyed some much needed R&R while vacationing in Maui in June. Would highly recommend visiting; we will be back!
Our first grandchild turned one year old this summer - seeing the world through the eyes of a child and watching them learn things for the first time (walking, eating, sign language, verbal language, etc.) is so much fun and really reminds us what actually counts.
This summer, we went through the painful process of putting in a pool for our kids! This summer was NO FUN AT ALL but, next summer, will definitely be!! Any pool owners have some tips? I feel a little lost in this!
Went on a trip to Orlando and got to go to Universal Studios after 10 years of not having been back to the park! Also got this job, so stressful parts of the summer aside, it was still a good one.
Oh man! Yeah next summer your house will be the place to BE @amanda.wright . We had a hot tub growing up which definitely had it’s pains and required attention but I know pools are a LOT, but also so worth it!
This summer I went to a CE event with staff members and was able to learn all the new things our company is introducing.
This summer reminded me of just how grateful we need to be, no matter what. Broke my humerus bone just below my shoulder on May 3 , so the summer was a blur. 6 months later and healing is 80% back to normal. Grateful it wasn’t my dominant arm and for my husband who put my hair in a ponytail just about everyday among many other things. Thank you!
Something I learned this summer…though I am no longer in school; I do have a child who is a sophomore in High School. What I learned from her is that schools have changed a lot since I was in attendance. These kids now a days are scared, confused and overwhelmed and dealing with chris crossed thoughts, values and views. My daughter’s school is very good with giving mental health days, as well as having someone on hand that talks with the students about real life issues and helps guide them in a way that helps them to grown into more knowledgeable young adults. So with that said, if all you parents will just take some more time to speak with your kids and let them know they don’t have to be scared of change; you may be surprised of what they turn around and teach you about the new ways of this world! I guess you can say, I learned to be more patient and a better listener in many aspects of my life.
This summer I started my new job and I have learned so many new things. Each day I learn something new.
Hi I attended a webinar today with repuation and learned that I can share a google review on our facebook page. Thank you!
Oh my! That is beautiful!! And YES September is still summer in my mind so it counts Thanks for sharing @susie.lowe!
This summer I learned to use new course design applications to make even better eLearning courses!
